After the address of the Holy Father at St Peter’s basilica Indian Church celebrated the Holy Qurbana at Papel altar which is rare blessing and recognition to the Syro Malabar Church. Major Archbishop Mar George Card. Alencherry celebrated the Holy Qurbana in Syro Malabar Rite and Mar Cleemis bava, Mar Pauly Kannookkadan, Very Fr Paul Achandy, Fr. Cheriyan Thundupuarambil concelebrated on the main altar. All other bishops, and a great number of priests concelebrated. More than 6000 faithful who participated the H. Qurbana together with the head and father of the Church Mar Alencherry was a living testimony for the whole Church and the world. Card. Mar Cleemis made the homily in which he emphasized that the two saints were the signs and models of faith before us. We are called to witness Christ following their path in our life.
