KCWA (Knanaya Catholic Women’s Association) is a lay organization for women in the Archeparchy of Kottayam. The major objective of KCWA is to promote knanaya customs and traditions alone with the Archeparchy of Kottayam.

GOLDEN JUBILEE YEAR
Knanaya Catholic Women’s Association founded on 26th November 1972 has successfully completed 49 years of its existence and entering into the Golden Jubilee Year.
Knanaya Catholic Congress and Knanaya Catholic Youth League, the lay organisations of the Archeparchy of Kottayam were established in the year 1938 and 1969 respectively and KCWA was formed as the third organisation of Kottayam Diocese with an aim for the overall development of all married women and unmarried women of age 30 years and above. Justice Cyriac Joseph, the former Secretary of Knanaya Catholic Congress has taken the initial lead in organising KCWA with the blessings and support of Late Mar Thomas Tharayil and Mar Kuriakose Kunnassery, the then Bishops of Kottayam Arch Diocese.
