Dr. Jacob Kollaparambil

Rev. Dr. Jacob Kollaparambil, ‘the authentic Indian Church Historian’ from the St. Thomas Church was born at Kaduthurthy a historic parish in the Archeparchy of Kottayam in 15 July 1934. After his schooling he joined diocesan minor seminary, Kottayam and deepened his philosophical and theological formation from St. Joseph Seminary Aluva and Urbanian University Rome respectively. After his priestly ordination he did his doctorate in Canon Law from Lateran University, Rome; MA in History from Marquette University, Milwaukee, USA 1974 and Doctorate (History) from St Louise, Missouri, USA, 1979. After his admirable service both in the Syro Malabar Church and in the Archdiocese of Kottayam, he was taken for eternal bliss on 6th December 2014.
