റോമിലെ ‘ഒബ്ലാട്ടി ഡി ടോര്‍ ഡെ സ്പെച്ചി’ (Oblati di Tor de Specchi) എന്ന സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥാപകയായിരുന്നു വിശുദ്ധ ഫ്രാന്‍സെസ്. ഉന്നതകുല ജാതയും സമ്പന്നയുമായിരുന്ന വിശുദ്ധ, തന്റെ ഭര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ മരണത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന്‍ തന്റെ സ്വത്തു മുഴുവന്‍ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയും പരിപൂര്‍ണ്ണ ദാരിദ്ര്യത്തില്‍ ജീവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. തന്റെ കാവല്‍ മാലാഖയുമായി ചിരപരിചിതമായ സംഭാഷണത്തിനുള്ള സവിശേഷ വരം വിശുദ്ധക്ക് സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. വിശുദ്ധ ഫ്രാന്‍സെസയുടെ ജീവിതത്തെ കുറിച്ച് വായിക്കുന്ന ഒരാള്‍ക്ക്, ഭൗതീകലോകത്തിലുമധികമായി ആത്മീയലോകത്താണ് അവള്‍ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നതെന്ന വസ്തുതയാണ് മനസ്സിലാക്കുവാന്‍ സാധിക്കുക. വാസ്തവത്തില്‍ അതായിരുന്നു അവളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ സവിശേഷതയും. വിശുദ്ധരും അനുഗ്രഹീതരുമായ ആത്മാക്കളുമായി വിശുദ്ധ അടുത്ത ബന്ധം പുലര്‍ത്തിയിരിന്നു.
കന്യകയായിരുന്നപ്പോഴത്തേതും, അമ്മയായിരുന്നപ്പോഴത്തേതും, ആത്മീയജീവിതം നയിച്ചപ്പോഴത്തേതുമായ വിശുദ്ധ ഫ്രാന്‍സെസിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ മൂന്ന് ഘട്ടങ്ങളിലും പ്രത്യേകപദവിയുള്ള മൂന്ന് മാലാഖമാര്‍ വിശുദ്ധയെ അകമ്പടി സേവിച്ചിരിന്നു. നരകത്തിന്റെ കടന്നാക്രമണങ്ങളില്‍ വീഴാതെ പടിപടിയായി അവള്‍ ആത്മീയ പൂര്‍ണ്ണതയിലേക്ക് ആനയിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. പകലും, രാത്രിയും തന്റെ കാവല്‍ മാലാഖ നിഗൂഡമായ ഒരു ദൗത്യത്തിലേര്‍പ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതായി വിശുദ്ധ കണ്ടു. മൂന്ന് ചെറിയ സ്വര്‍ണ്ണനിറമുള്ള നാരുകള്‍ കൊണ്ട് ആ മാലാഖ നിരന്തരമായി സ്വര്‍ണ്ണനിറമുള്ള നൂലുകള്‍ നെയ്യുകയും അത് തന്റെ കഴുത്തില്‍ ചുറ്റിയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതായും അവള്‍ കണ്ടു.
പിന്നീട് വളരെ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ ഗോളാകൃതിയില്‍ ചുറ്റിയെടുക്കുന്നതായും വിശുദ്ധ കണ്ടു. വിശുദ്ധയുടെ മരണത്തിന് 6 മാസം മുന്‍പ് മാലാഖ തന്റെ ജോലി മാറ്റിയതായി വിശുദ്ധ കണ്ടു, നൂല് ഉണ്ടാക്കികൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ജോലി മാറ്റി, തന്റെ കയ്യിലുള്ള മനോഹരമായ നൂലുകള്‍ കൊണ്ട് വ്യത്യസ്ഥ വലിപ്പത്തിലുള്ള മൂന്ന് ചവിട്ടുപായകള്‍ (Carpet) മാലാഖ നെയ്തു. ഈ ചവിട്ടുപായകള്‍, വിശുദ്ധ കന്യകയായിരുന്നപ്പോഴത്തേതും, അമ്മയായിരുന്നപ്പോഴത്തേതും, ആത്മീയജീവിതം നയിച്ചപ്പോഴത്തേതുമായ ജീവിത പ്രവര്‍ത്തികളെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിക്കുന്നു.
വിശുദ്ധ ഫ്രാന്‍സെസെയുടെ മരണത്തിനു കുറച്ച് മുന്‍പ്, മാലാഖ വളരെധൃതിയോട് കൂടിയായിരുന്നു തന്റെ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നതെന്ന് വിശുദ്ധ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു. മാത്രമല്ല മാലാഖയുടെ മുഖം മുന്‍പെങ്ങുമില്ലാത്ത വിധം സന്തോഷഭരിതമായിരുന്നു. അവസാന ചവിട്ടുപായ അതിനു വേണ്ടുന്ന നീളത്തില്‍ നെയ്തുകഴിഞ്ഞ അതേ നിമിഷം തന്നെ വിശുദ്ധയുടെ ആത്മാവ് നിത്യാനന്ദം പുല്‍കി.
Saint Frances of Rome was the founder of the institution “Oblati di Tor de Specchi” in Rome. She was from a noble and wealthy family, but after the death of her husband, she renounced all her wealth and chose to live in complete poverty. She was known for her frequent conversations with her guardian angel, who had a unique ability to communicate with her, a special grace she received from heaven.
Anyone who reads about the life of Saint Frances can understand that she lived more in the spiritual world than in the earthly one. In fact, that was the essence of her life. She maintained a close connection with the blessed and holy souls.
Throughout three stages of her life—as a young girl, as a mother, and while leading a spiritual life—Saint Frances was accompanied by three special angels, each assigned to serve her. She steadily moved toward spiritual perfection, without falling into the temptations of hell’s attacks. Day and night, she saw her guardian angel engaged in a mysterious mission. The angel would continuously spin golden-colored threads, weaving them into a thread that was then worn by Saint Frances around her neck.
Later, the saint saw the angel carefully weaving these golden threads into a circular shape. Six months before her death, the angel changed his task, and instead of making thread, he began weaving three carpets of different sizes with the beautiful threads he held. These carpets represented three stages of her life: as a virgin, as a mother, and while leading a spiritual life.
Before her death, Saint Frances noticed that the angel worked with great urgency. Moreover, the angel’s face appeared extraordinarily joyful, a sight she had never seen before. As the final carpet was completed, reaching the required length, at that very moment, the soul of the saint entered into eternal bliss.
